Following LASIK experiences more than 25 years and international standard ISO 9001 accepted by ophthalmologists and patients worldwide, our highly skilled refractive surgery specialists and staff aim to achieve the best result for you, our patient.
SMILE Pro, an evolution of the ReLEx SMILE procedure, significantly reduces vision correction time to approximately 8 seconds per eye, enhancing patient comfort and minimizing surgical stress. This advancement is achieved through the utilization of the Carl Zeiss VisuMax 800 laser, which operates at a higher pulse frequency, enabling faster lenticule creation compared to its predecessor. Maintaining the flapless, small-incision technique, SMILE Pro offers eligible patients quicker recovery times and improved visual outcomes.
SMILE Pro® is the latest advancement in laser eye surgery, offering a faster, more precise, and more comfortable experience than its predecessor, ReLEx SMILE. Utilizing Carl ZEISS's VisuMax 800 laser, SMILE Pro® corrects vision in just 8 seconds per eye, minimizing discomfort and potential complications. This bladeless procedure offers a quicker recovery and potentially better visual outcomes due to its enhanced precision.
⌛ Speed: Just 8 seconds per eye, for real. Compared to the older generation of ReLExSMILE with Visumax 500 (which takes around 25 seconds), it's a game-changing evolution.
💯 Precision: It utilizes more advanced laser technology, which enable more accurate shaping to the cornea. This is directly impacting the quality of visual outcomes and increased chance of suitablity for those with higher prescriptions and astigmatism.
🤗 Comfort: Shorter procedure time means less pressure and a smoother experience. Many patients say they feel almost nothing at all.
🛡️ Safety: With reduced suction time and pinpoint precision, the risk of complications like suction loss or corneal ectasia is even lower.
Creating the Lenticule: The VisuMax 800 laser creates a tiny, lens-shaped piece of corneal tissue (the lenticule) within the cornea. This is done without creating a flap, as in traditional LASIK.
Removing the Lenticule: A small incision (2-4 mm) is made in the cornea, and the surgeon gently removes the lenticule.
Reshaping the Cornea: Removing the lenticule reshapes the cornea, correcting the refractive error and improving vision.
* The reason is that wearing contacts lenses, for a long time, could change the curvature of the cornea, therefore the refraction have changed as well. Not wearing contact lens, for a while, will cause the shape and the curvature of eye to revert back to its natural shape, enabling us to get more precise data of the cornea.
